About the Show

Although she has no intention of buying anything, Mrs. Baskin, a sweet, retired widow, continuously sets up appointments with sales people solely to have lunch and conversation with them in her home.

Two young sales people, Terry, who (unsuccessfully) sells garage doors and Kira, who (successfully) sells solar panels and has just learned that her fiancé is cheating on her, accidentally meet in Mrs. Baskin’s apartment. Although neither has the slightest intention of getting involved in a relationship … Mrs. Baskin thinks otherwise!

Lake George This Week, Aug 5 – Aug 12, 2018TWO WARS. FIVE BATTLES. ONE FORT! Well worth the 45 minute drive!  The heroic corn maze is open for the season – kids love it!  Every year at Fort Ticonderoga is a new story! Relive the defining moments in America’s history when nations fought to control a continent. Located within the shadow of the Adirondack Mountains and overlooking Vermont’s picturesque Green Mountains, Fort Ticonderoga guards the historic portage between Lake Champlain and Lake George. The French and their native allies failed to conquer this region during the French & Indian War. And a generation later, the British failed during the Revolutionary War. In the end, Americans controlled Lake Champlain, and therefore controlled the continent. Each day in July and August, the Fife and Drum Corps play songs containing important information, known as “duty tunes.” From reveille in the morning to tattoo at night, or sounding of the alarm and calling to arms, the Fifes and Drums regulate days at the fort today.  Also – don’t miss the Kings Garden tour and the Corn Maze – open now through the Fall season!

In response to COVID-19, we have adopted additional policies and procedures to enhance the safety of our staff and guests.  Below are some of these policies and procedures.

STAFF TRAINING

We have conducted extensive staff training on preventing the spread of COVID-19 including training on daily staff screenings, social distancing, sanitization standards, hand washing and face covering.

ENHANCED COMMUNICATION

We utilize a text messaging system that allows us to quickly and safely communicate with guests.  This allows guests to easily communicate with us before, during and after their stay. Guests can simply send us a text message from their personal device instead of coming to the office or picking up a room phone.  It will also facilitate curbside check-in, check-out, take-out food ordering and any requests guests may have throughout their stay.

CURBSIDE CHECK-IN AVAILABLE

Guests who would like to check-in without physically entering the office can ask for curbside check-in. Please call or text the office just before or upon arrival.  We will coordinate payment and meet you at your car to provide room key cards.  We will provide full services without guests having to enter the office.

REDUCING ITEMS THAT ARE TOUCHED BY MULTIPLE PEOPLE

We are removing many items touched by multiple people and providing these items in digital form. We are removing in-room paper products that cannot be sanitized such as pads of paper, pens, tip envelopes and resort guides.

The beach will open with watercraft rentals when safe water temperature permits (available for a fee). The restaurant and bar will be opening in May with limited days and hours of service and will expand to daily service sometime in June. Outside dining will be available for breakfast, lunch and dinner with social distancing in place. Seasonal hours apply. Contact the resort for updated days of service and hours. To-go dining will also be available. Menus are available on our site, at the bar, and at our front desk.

Other areas will be set up with extra space to facilitate social distancing.
